How Do You Achieve Self-Enlightenment?

SELF ENLIGHTENMENT IS KNOWING WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST

6 Ways to Achieve Self Enlightenment:

​

1.    Be Honest with Yourself.  The first of the many ways to achieve self- enlightenment is, to be honest with yourself.

2.    Kill Your Ego. There is no place of egoistic people in self enlightenment.  Do not become so engrossed in self that others are an afterthought. Always remember to put God first, others second, and self-last.

3.    Forgiveness. 

4.    Embrace Your Fears. “Fear is false evidence appearing real.”

Think on things… “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." according to God’s word in Philippians 4 (NIV).

 5.    Meditation.

Forgiveness  (for·give·ness)

Forgive Others and Yourself. Forgiveness is the act of pardoning an offender. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). From a spiritual perspective, we were all born with a sin problem, eternally separated from God. We’d be lost forever without Him intervening and offering us forgiveness. It’s much easier to extend forgiveness to others when we consider the grace we have been shown.

We owe others forgiveness even when they don't ask for it...

“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother” (Matthew 18:15).  We should go to our brother or sister and talk it out. It’s not an easy thing to do, but it’s critical in being able to move forward.
